It is reported that cross-border e-commerce, as a new form of foreign trade with the fastest development speed, the greatest potential and the strongest driving role, is adding new vitality to the transformation and upgrading of China’s traditional industries. At the beginning of the New Year, more and more small and medium-sized enterprises are working at full speed, relying on cross-border e-commerce, to explore new business opportunities.

China has the world’s largest e-commerce market, and has the world-leading penetration rate of e-commerce. The scale of China’s e-commerce market benefits from China’s complete Internet infrastructure construction, logistics network and e-commerce platform. From the global perspective, there is still a large space for the penetration rate of e-commerce, and the growth rate of emerging markets is considerable. Many industry insiders pointed out that the current online e-commerce penetration rate in emerging markets is less than 10%; among them, Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and other emerging regions by the market attention increased sharply. Cross-border e-commerce has enabled more and more Chinese companies to find new business opportunities. In 2023,1.83 trillion yuan of Chinese goods were exported to all parts of the world through cross-border e-commerce, 2.3 times that of five years ago. At present, there are more than 100,000 cross-border e-commerce entities, more than 690 cross-border e-commerce industrial parks, and the cross-border e-commerce sales network covering more than 220 countries and regions around the world. It is expected that by 2025, China’s cross-border e-commerce transaction volume will reach 2.5 trillion yuan, bringing new opportunities for Chinese enterprises and brands.
